WES SHIPP

Singer-Songwriter

Wes Shipp doesn’t just sing about the road less traveled-he’s lived it.

A singer, songwriter, and unapologetic outlaw-country artist, Wes Shipp has built his music around the one thing that can’t be manufactured:truth. Born in Crystal River, Florida, Wes has experienced the highs, lows, struggles, setbacks, and second chances that give his songs their unmistakable weight. His music carries the grit of traditional country while remaining deeply personal, honest, and unmistakably his own.

Wes’s journey into music was anything but conventional. After years of battling difficult circumstances, including periods of homelessness and addiction, he found a way forward through music. In 2019, a video of Wes performing outside a Walmart in North Little Rock, Arkansas, went viral, drawings hundreds of thousands of views and putting his raw talent in front of a much larger audience. What began as simply playing wherever there was an opportunity eventually opened doors into the country music industry.

Influenced by country legends including Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard and Randy Travis, Wes carries the spirit of traditional country music into a new generation while maintaining a sound and identity that are distinctly his own.

From his early days playing wherever the opportunity presented itself to building a growing career in country music, Wes has remained committed to one thing above all else: being real. His music doesn’t hide the hard parts of life-it embraces them, finding meanining in the struggle and hope in the journey.

Wes Shipp isn’t trying to fit into a mold. He’s telling his story, one song at a a time-and inviting listeners to find a piece of their own story along the way.
